Faith and transexuality 

It is often that I meet with other christians that can´t understand how can I be transexual and dont go against God´s will. They say God made me a man so if I choose to live as a woman Im rejecting the life He has prepared to me so I couldn´t be on God´s grace. But the truth is in fact quite different. To begin with, God is love and love us all equally. We are also made of love, in the image of God, and we should also love everyone equally, without distinctions, because everybody is our neighbour, and that is the reason God made us all so diverse, with so many differents cultures, races, religions and even sexualities, in order for us to be beyond that and love each other, love everyone, not matter superficial things like race, ideology, sexuality or apparence. God´s message is a message of universal love so we need to soften our hearts to be able to transmit it faithfully and reach everyone equally, without any distictions or judgement.

On the subject of transexuality it is also usually mentioned the book of Genesis 1:27 "So Go created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them" but I think is important to note that the Bible doesnt say "male with penis and female with vagina created he them", but just male and female, without any mention or reference to genitals. That verse, talking about genders without any reference to genitals and even ending with a them, cant be more queer affirmative, and it was written thousands of years ago. God made me female, same as the rest, not matter how my genitals looks like, and this is not against Genesis where genitals are never mentioned. I will go futher as God is a Transforming God, that change water on wine, make the sterile woman a fertile one, make the blind see and resurrect dead people. And yet you refuse to believe, men of little faith, that God is able to made true women on men bodies and true men on women bodies? The power of God is infinite and their creation eternal and by denying the existence of transexuality you are only denying the power and beauty of God´s creation, and doubting of allmighty. In a way, every trans person is a God´s miracle, a life´s miracle, a creation´s miracle, same as everyone of us.

I am a woman, and I know this as clearly as that God exist and love me. And if I wouldnt live as a woman then I will be rejecting the life that God had prepared for me. I have not any proof that Im a woman, except that I know, same as I have not any proof that God exist and love me, except that I know. You can believe on my words, on my inner feelings, in a word you can believe on me or you can refuse to do it, and I understand that is reasonable to do not believe on a stranger´s word, because it will be pretty dangerous if we will believe everything any stranger say to us. But what if the person who is talking about their inner feelings, about how they really feel, about who they really are is a person close to you? Would you believe on them and support and help them as your neighbour or not? Because every christian have the duty to love their neighbour, not matter who they are, to accept and dear them and also to forgive them seventy times seven and to help them in case of need, as the famous samaritan did. In a word we need to keep our hearts open to our neighbours. And there is anything more neighbour to us that our own family, our own kids? How not to love them, accept them, believe on them? Much have been talk about having faith on God, but how can you believe on a God you cant see, if you cant believe on your neighbour that you can see? Because at the end, transexuality is just a matter of faith. Faith in that God can do everything, like true men on woman bodies or that the person who was gravely ill yesterday will be healed today. And Faith also on our neighbour, that what they say they are is true, because life as a trans person is clearly harder, so why they would lie about it?

And nothing on the Holy Bible oppose to that. Doesnt oppose Genesis 1:27, which talk about males and females, without any mentions to their genitals. Doesnt oppose Deuteronomio 22:5 clearly a man´s law, not a divine one, or we would need to condemn every woman who wear trousers and every man who shave himself. And to tell the truth, if anything I feel this verse compell me and any other trans person to be outside the closet, because if I am really a woman I shouldnt be hiding on men clothes but living the life God had prepared for me, the life of a trans woman. And doesnt oppose the letter to Corinthians, the only mentions to trans persons (effeminate) on the new testament, that again show how trans persons are not a new thing but just part of God´s creation, as we are as old and natural as the sun.

These verses (1 Cor 6:9-11) are sadly quite often used to attack lgbt people, which I think is a grave sin on itself, way worse than just using the word of God in vain, because by removing the last verse they completely change the meaning of the whole text, which I copy below.

 "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God"

The meaning of the text is clear, not matter what your sins are (and we are all sinners) we all have been washed, sanctified and justified by our Lord. It is a text about salvation, not condemnation. And if our Lord Jesus have washed and forgiven us, who on earth can feel worthy enough to judge and condemn what God himself have already washed and sanctified? Think and pray about these things and open your hearts because there are not contradictions among Holy Bible and God´s love. Transexuality is just a mistery of the creation, same as butterflies, ice floating over water or the never repeating dusks, that God present us to made us aware of their greatness.


And I would like to finish this text with a specific advice to christians parents of lgtb kids. It is often that such a thing make you think that this must be a test that God put on your way. And you will not be far of the truth, but it is not a test of rigidity or sacrifice, but a test of faith, tolerance and love. Of having faith on God and in our neigbour and of being able to open our hearts to love and accept our neigbour not matter how different it is from us. And same like in the last instant God warns Abraham to do not kill Isaac, this text is a direct message of God to soften your hearts. Read it again, think about it, reflect and pray and you will see that the correct answer that God always ask us to do is to love. Love our neigbour, not matter how they are. Because for God there is nothing imposible and you know that your familiar is not lying, there is only one answer, and that is love. Because God, on their eternal wisdom, put us on tests sometimes and always on the most strange ways. To raise a lgbt kid is just a God´s blessing, same like any other kid, although for many parents it looks like and feels like a punishment. However, same as old Job discovered, the tests once passed become to be true blessings. Because having a kid, familiar or close friend lgbt can soften and open our hearts on ways that only God could had planned, and there is a greater blessing than that?
